Joaquín Solloso, CEO of Bioksan, participated in an interview with Corresponsables, as part of the B Corp Dossier: Companies with a purpose, to share how we understand sustainability, science, and positive impact within the nutraceutical sector.

As Joaquín Solloso summarizes in the interview, “purpose has always been part of our way of understanding the company”. This vision is reflected in how we make decisions, in the research of new formulas, and in the way we generate value for those who trust our products. It also connects with our triple impact model: health, planet, and people.

For us, being a B Corp is not a label, but a way of working with more rigor and coherence. It means reinforcing our commitment to science, health, and sustainability, but also asking ourselves what footprint we leave as a company.

At Bioksan, we identify with this way of understanding growth: we conceive health as a shared responsibility and carry out our activity with a perspective that goes beyond financial results.

A certification that organizes commitment

Being a B Corp nutraceutical company means assuming that every decision has an impact. At Bioksan, this certification reinforces our way of working based on responsibility, continuous improvement, and coherence between what we say and what we do.

Our commitment starts by uniting science, nature, and rigor to develop natural nutraceuticals that respond to real wellness needs. This involves taking care of the quality of ingredients, the evidence supporting each formula, the transparency of processes, and the trust we build with those who choose us.

Science and traceability: communicating better is also caring

One of the points addressed in the interview is the importance of communicating with rigor. In a context where there is increasing sensitivity towards greenwashing and unverifiable promises, companies with impact have the responsibility to be clear, precise, and coherent.

As Joaquín Solloso points out:

“Good communication is not about saying more, but about saying it better.”

At Bioksan we share this vision. Especially in the nutraceutical sector, trust is not built with generic messages, but with evidence, traceability, and verifiable facts.

When purpose becomes impact

Being a B Corp also involves looking at the company from a broader perspective. At Bioksan, this model helps us to review our value chain: from the development of new formulas to the selection of the social projects we support.

We currently allocate 6% of our profits to charitable projects linked to health, education, inclusion, and community development.

Among the initiatives we collaborate with are:

  • World Project / Bioksaland, an eco-sustainable development space in Uganda.

  • Wara Wara Schools, an educational project in Sierra Leone.

  • Island Mission Uganda / Babys Uganda, linked to the Mount Eagle School on Zinga Island.

  • Dones Azulado, a children's center in Tierra Bomba, Cartagena de Indias.

  • SOM Foundation, a health cooperation project in The Gambia.

  • Surg For All Expedition, a health initiative in Monrovia.

  • Makete Lagunak, development cooperation in Tanzania.

  • CPEN Senegal, a health and educational project in Senegal.

  • Alacrán Association 1997, support for young people at risk of social exclusion.

  • Bioksan Scholarships / Amoverse Foundation, training and social initiatives for young people at risk of exclusion.

These actions demonstrate how purpose can become verifiable impact, through partnerships and concrete projects that expand the meaning of our growth.

A conversation to keep moving forward

Joaquín Solloso's participation in Corresponsables reinforces a central idea: growing also means doing so with meaning.

From our B Corp perspective, we work to connect science, purpose, and sustainability in every decision: by developing evidence-based natural solutions, reducing our environmental impact, and supporting real social projects.
