Celebrating 20 years of the United Nations World Covenant: a commitment to business transformation

In BioksanWe firmly believe that improving the world begins by transforming companies. This vision, which we share with many other global organizations, finds its basis for the United Nations World Covenant, an initiative that has completed 20 years of promoting the Business sustainability worldwide. 

The United Nations World Pact: a call to business responsibility 

Launched in 2000 by the UN, the World pact It is a global call aimed at companies and organizations to align with ten universal principles in fundamental areas such as human rights, labor norms, environment and the fight against corruption.  

These principles not only seek to improve business practice, but also aspire to generate a Positive impact in society and the planet. 

During these two decades, the world pact has grown exponentially, with almost 70 local networks worldwide. Each of these networks, including the Spanish, has played a crucial role in the promotion of the Business sustainability.  

In Spain, the UN World Covenant has established itself as a reference in the avant -garde of sustainability, highlighting its services, initiatives and the ability to mobilize key actors in the business field.

In Bioksan, we are proud to renew, year after year, our commitment to the principles of the world pact. For us, sustainability is not only a fashion word, but a fundamental pillar of our business philosophy. We frame our commitment in three key axes: health, people and the planet. 20 years of global impact: looking towards the future 

Throughout these 20 years, the world pact has proven to be a powerful tool to guide companies on their trip to sustainability. However, there is still much to do. The global challenges, such as climate change, social inequalities and human rights violations, require continuous and collective effort. 

Companies have a crucial role to play in the solution of these problems, and the world pact remains an essential guide in this process.
